I am on L1 from 18 months. Parents applied for B2 visa to visit me. I did sponsor by sending all documents as per Immihelp from here. Scanned print outs are sufficient to be carried by parents.
Father is retired government employee and gets pension. Apart from this, nothing he carried as he did not have any property in his name. Mother is house wife. Both are having highest proof of qualification as secondary school. I am the only kid for them. No siblings.
Visa language opted was Kannada, though they both can manage english preferred Kannada to avoid accent problems.
Consulate location was Chennai. OFC was at 3pm first day. Interview at 10AM second day. Interview experience as told by them:
Parents wished both interviewer and translator. They both wished them back and were looking happy.
Q1: Which place are you going?
Ans: City Name
Response: Thats a nice place to go!
Q2: Who is there in that city?
Ans: My Son
Q3: Do you have grand child?
Ans: Yes we have 2 grand children and my daughter in law also is there with them
Response: That is awesome!
Q4: For how many days are you planning the trip?
Ans: 6 months
Response: Thats nice. It is a fantastic place and lot of places to see around. Your visa is granted, have a nice trip!
