It's been almost a year - no interview yet!
Hi everyone,
I arrived here on a K1, and my husband and I got married in early April 2014. By the end of April 2014, we had submitted my AOS/I 485 application. I had my biometrics in end of May 2014 or early June, and received my EAD by the end of July 2014.
It has been almost a year since we submitted my AOS application but we haven't received any notifications for an interview. I will soon have to file for a renewal EAD, and I really don't want to have to spend more $$ on this application.
My case status has not changed on the USCIS website sine May 2014. We called a helpline and the response was that the application is delayed for reasons not related to our application. Nothing on how much longer it's going take or what stage the application is in. We filed from VA, and have an MSC #. I can't even travel back to my country to see my parents! Anyone have any advice on speeding the process? Anyone having similar experience?
