Horrible CKGS service San Francisco
Pathetic experience for OCI card from CKGS for my daughter. Started the process in Mar 11, 2015.
03/18/2015 - Your application has been received and is under process in CKGS
03/18/2015 - We have received your payment and we are verifying the same. If the payment made is complete, you will receive a payment receipt shortly
03/23/2015 - Your application has been processed at the CKGS Application Centre and is in transit to the Indian Embassy/Consulate for decision making.
03/24/2015 - Your Application is under process at the Embassy / Consulate
03/25/2015 - Date Of Acknowledgment
Long wait........
05/18/2015 - Documents Printing Status PROCESSED
05/19/2015 - Dispatched From MOIA (OCI ) NEW DELHI;
Another long wait...I think they sent via sea route.
06/06/2015 - Document received At SAN FRANCISCO
06/10/2015 - Your printed OCI Card is ready for match-up with your US Passport / Foreign Passport CKGS
Sent the passport same day and they received it on next day 06/11/2015 as per UPS next day delivery tracking.
No response for next 10 days.
06/22/2015 - Your Passport has been received at CKGS for Match-Up and is currently being packaged for onward submission to the Embassy / Consulate
06/22/2015 - Your Passport is 'In Transit' to the Embassy / Consulate for Match-Up
Called them and got a reply that they have sent the passport to consulate last week, but updated the status this week.
The person says it will take 4 weeks to do match-up.
CKGS San Francisco service is horrible.
I see for NY and other they process the match up in same week or same day. NY does this in 1 day.
Did anyone received OCI from San Francisco in 2015?
