Marriage-based green card interview experience - Boston MA
Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon my husband and I had our green card interview at the Boston USCIS office. The final result is I passed!!! Yay!!!

Our experience is NOT easy though. The overall interview took about 1.5 hours. My husband was taken into the office FIRST, which made me very nervous, as I read from this forum usually they interview the couple together. About 30 minutes later, I was also taken in; and the officer asked me not to look at my husband for any hints.. I don't know if this is how the Boston office typically do things...

There are many questions asked to me, which was another surprise (I really thought they'd just ask where/how we met)... I HIGHLY recommend the following link as many questions from there were asked. http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/familybasedimmigration/marriage-based-greencard-fraud-interview.html

Here is the questions I can remember:
- where & how you met? when & where you got married? how many people at wedding
- any children between you? any previous marriage
- met husband's family yet? who you have met from his family / what's the name of the brother you have NOT met
- taken any trips together yet? name a few
- live together? address? who owns it? (I own my house) why you didn't buy the house together?
- any pet? what kind of pet? (we have a dog) name & breed of the dog? who feeds the dog?
- what kind of house? how many bedrooms/floors? what color is the house (we gave somewhat different answers because my hubby is a little color-blind!! But the officer laughed about it) what kind of roof/siding of the house
- where i work? how do I go to work? when I leave in the am/come back in the pm? means of commute?
**Tricky questions**
- who initiated the I-130? (both my hubby and I asked him what he meant, and answered I needed the green card so I started the process but worked together. I think here he may have wanted to see our responses...)

Then he asked for documents showing joint finance, and in the end took back ALL proving materials I prepared for bona fide marriage - and it is a big stack!!!

He also asked for our wedding pictures (I had about 70), quickly went through them, seems enjoying them and make copies of a few. I think the wedding pictures weigh a lot so do bring enough!!!

After that it's all the easy "No" questions on I-485, followed by "Approved" on both I-130 and I-485. And the rest was easy..

Maybe 30min after the interview, I started receiving texts on my cell saying "I-130 approved", "Welcome package mailed", "card ordered" etc.

**Do remind the officer to give you a stamp of temp Green card (mine is good for a month). Our officer completely forgot about it.

He is very nice, not confrontational just doing his job so try to relax!

Thanks everyone for all the help and support. Good luck to all of you!!
