Finally!!! For my fellow New Yorkers who are having a long wait
Hello,
I’m so glad I can finally post a timeline with an interview date. I am in the Queens New York Area and my wait time for a date was approximately 9 months+. Here’s my timeline.
Got married in 2014
December 23rd: Mailed out completed documents
December 26th: Received receipt Notice
Jan 20th: Biometrics done
January 28th: Status changed to “case ready to be scheduled for interview”
March 2nd: Received Work Permit in the mail
Today September 17th my status changed and I was assigned an interview date in October.
I must have called USCIS offices a great number of times…lol. But it doesn’t hurt to call and find out correct dates etc because it seems they don’t update field office processing times as often as they should online. My field office still says September but my priority date is in December. So that’s a plus.
Thanks to those who I have been able to interact with on here. I pray you guys have positive outcomes in your cases.
