Change of address question
Here's my timeline for AOS from F1 through marriage.

May 28, 2015: Package received (i485, i130, i765, i131)
May 29: Changed address online from NC to VA.
June 3: Online status changed to Fingerprint fee received.
June 15: Received I797s for all the applications and biometrics notice. Biometrics appointment was in NC on June 23.
June 23: Finished biometrics in NC field office (very quick process).

Now here's the tricky part: I moved to DC on July 1. I wanted my mailing address to stay the same, but report physical address (since my DC address is temporary and my VA address is permanent). Therefore, I filed a paper AR-11 but did not do a change of address online for i485.

July 9: Online status changed to ready to schedule for an interview

I received combined EAD and advance parole card in mid-August at my VA permanent address.

Since then, no update. Now the main thing I want to know is which field office is in charge of my case. I don't know if my case was transferred from NC to VA, since my biometrics appointment was in NC even after the change of address. I called the USCIS helpline and they have no clue. I'm going to the NC field office in two weeks to find out what's happening, but I'd love any thoughts from people. I want to go abroad for a few weeks but scared that I will miss the interview if that happens. Hope to hear from you all. Thanks!
