My AOS Timeline
Hey guys,

I've found this forum SUPER helpful as I recently went through the AOS process and wanted to share my experience and timeline.

I have been in the US on the E3 visa, and won the Diversity Visa Lottery last year (DV-2015).
I checked the Visa Bulletin every month, and my number didnt become available until August this year.

Tuesday 8/11 SENT DOCUMENTS TO CHICAGO LOCKBOX
 
Wednesday 8/12 DOCUMENTS RECEIVED in CHICAGO 10.07am

Monday 8/17 RECEIVED EMAIL ACCEPTING CASE
  
Tuesday 8/18 CHECK BANKED

Saturday 8/22 RECEIPT LETTER RECEIVED

Friday 8/28 BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT LETTER RECEIVED

Thursday 9/10 CALL FROM USCIS NEW YORK TO SET UP INTERVIEW - due to the urgency to process by September 30th, the office called me to set up the interview

Friday 9/11 BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT COMPLETED

Tuesday 9/22 INTERVIEW - lasted for approx. 20 mins. The officer was firm, but nice and personable. Asked me questions about my name, education, past and current employment. The medical document used by my Civil Surgeon was the wrong version. The officer gave me a note to come back ASAP with the correct version. I went straight to my Civil Surgeon office that day, and they re-did the form correctly.

Wednesday 9/23 9am DROPPED NEW MEDICAL DOCUMENT TO OFFICER

Thursday 9/24 CASE STATUS UPDATED TO: New Card Being Produced

Friday 9/25 CASE STATUS UPDATED TO: We registered your Permanent Residence Status and mailed you a welcome notice

Monday 9/28 CASE STATUS UPDATED TO: We mailed your new card

Wednesday 9/30 GREEN CARD arrived!!!!

I prepared all paperwork myself and did not use a lawyer. I was super nervous as the cut off to complete everything is September 30th, but USCIS worked with me to meet this deadline.
