I-485 Adjustment of status for marriage
Hello everyone I want to encourage all the families of people going through this overwhelming process to be prayerful, walk by faith and trust GOD through the whole process.
My husband entered the USA on a b1/b2 visitors visa. We got married shortly after meeting. We contacted USCIS about what we need to do to change his status and if he could leave the USA and re enter after handling his business in his country. They told us he couldn't leave the country ntil his status was adjusted. So we started saving money for the I-130, I-765, biometrics, and I-485.
Were sent our applications and fees in on 7/20/15
7/24/14 we received notice that they have our applications and fees
8/1/15 we recieved notice for biometrics appointment for 8/21/15
9/14/15 we received appointment letter for I-485 interview on 10/22/14
9/30/14 we received his letter of approval for is EAD

(No one told us that u need to go to your local social security office and file for a social security number so that you can work for 90% of employers.) It takes anywhere from 10 days to four weeks to receive your card its been two weeks since we files and were still waiting for his social card.

Yesterday was 10/22/15 and we had our inter view. When we arrived we checked in with our ID and appointment letter. the man asked us to have a seat and someone will be calling us back shortly. we were there for about ten minutes and the officer called me back first. when I went in the office there was another officer there to. They had me to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth. They had me back there asking all kinds of questions about the marriage and how we meet. they also asked me questions from the application we filed. after forty five minutes they took me out and called my husband back. he was only in for about 10 minutes. when they brought him back out they took me back in. when we went in this tie they told me that my husband had passed all the questions and to give them the evidence of a bonafide marriage. They took me back out and gave us five minutes to get the papers and give it to them. the officer came out got the papers and told us we could go.

Me and my husband was really worried he said they didn't ask him no questions about the marriage all of his questions was about his application as a visitor to this country. It was the most over whelming feeling. we were confused they never told us if we were approved. I prayed that GOD would comfort us while we waited and I thanked GOD for us getting our answer before the four week time limit they have to give a approval for the I-485. This morning my husband checked our account with USCIS and it said that his GREEN CARD was APPROVED and he will have it before December 21,2015.
Our whole process took 93 days.
People GOD will do it if you just ask and BELIEVE that he can.
