Hi, I applied for my parents GC while they are visiting US. Submitted i130 and i1485 concurrently for a immediate relative. I filed the application from California, Field office will be SanJose/Santa Clara.
I did the concurrent filing of i130 and i1485 but at that time did not file the Advance Parole - i131. After 2 months, I submitted the i131.
Here is the timeline;
July 20 - Submitted i130 & i485 concurrently to the Chicago Lockbox address
Aug 12th - Biometrics done at SanJose Field office.
Aug 14 - Received the RFE by mail on Aug 14. RFE issue date was Aug 7.
Sept 2 - USCIS received the RFE response.
Since then we have not heard anything. It is 104 days since the application is submitted for AOS and 91 days since we sent the RFE response. Some folks mentioned on this forum that they received notification that the interview will be scheduled, but in my parents case they have not received that.
What time frame are we looking to get the interview date or approval. Please help.
Sept 22 - Submitted the i131 travel document.
It has been 41 days since the submission. I see the processing time for i131 from USCIS is 90 days. Is there a chance we can get an approval close to the 60 days mark.
The reason I'm asking is My parents have their tickets booked first week of December to travel back. Do you recommend I take a infopass appointment for last week of Nov. If I take the appointment, wha documents should i show, do they need a emergency reason.
