Interview

We arrived at 8.15 and the interview was scheduled for 8.45. We didn't get called in until a little after 9am and the IO explained there was some issues with the computers and thats why they were running late. She swore us in and started asking my wife her full name date of birth etc. She was very friendly and laid back through out and said if there was anything we didn't understand to ask.

SHe asked me the date of our marriage and joked that she always asks the husband, my wife laughed and said I remember better. She then went through the standard questions with me about being convicted of a crime etc. Once that was done she said that it was now the part of the interview to determine if we were in an on going relationship. She asked for supporting documentation and I gave lots of pictures and bills. She didn't take the pics but looked through them and added all the bills to our file. She asked my wife my cell number but my wife didnt know. the IO joked that she would need it if she went to Jail. Then she explained that she needed to go through the file and 1 of 2 things would happen, within 30 days we would get an approval or a letter asking for missing docs. She said as there is so much paperwork she likes to do it in the afternoon. We thanked her and left.

At 2pm I received an email approving my GC.

We were in and out of the interview in 20 minutes. I cannot say why the IO didnt ask more questions but my only advice is be prepared, honest and yourself. We wore smart clothes (me a suit) and also had lots of paperwork neatly labeled and ready

Good Luck Everyone :)
