Question regarding AOS and EAD
Hello everyone,
I have been reading this forum ever since I submitted the documents, its been really helpful ant it has given me an idea what to expect at each step.
This is what I have so far:
Oct 9, 2015 - Submitted Application
Oct 9, 2015 - Priority Date
Oct 15, 2015 - Received notice (day 7)
Nov 2, 2015 - Biometrics done (day 25)
Still waiting, on the online case tracking system it still says "Case received". I live in Washington, DC area and my Service center is National Benefits Center.
I have accepted a job offer and they are waiting for me to get the paperwork done so I can start working, but I'm afraid they will not wait too long.
Anyone with a similar case, how long does it usually take to receive the work permit?
Will I be able to work as soon as I get the EAD, or should I wait until I get the SSN?
