LONG ISLAND NY INTERVIEW 12-8-2015
HI GUYS!
So many here know my struggles to get my wife's green card..... we finally received our interview :)
timeline:
1/16/15 docs sent to USCIS
1/20/15 docs received
1/28/15 received appointment for firngerprints
2/10/15 got fingerprinted
3/20/15 EAD being produced/shipped
3/28/15 received EAD
after so mauch waiting for an interview i sent my wife for an infopass on 10/27/15, turns out our case was not put in correctly for an interview, if we didnt go for an infopass we would've never gotten an interview.... although there is a big 10months delay here in long island NY.
11/4/15 received interview letter for 12/8/2015 - actually got to speak to upper level IO from the national customer service before that so i knew the date before my status changed to interview scheduled.
this morning 12/8/2015 interview at 7:45am
we got there 5mins early
checked in
waited for about and hour and half, then got called in by a middle eastern nice looking middle age woman, she swore us in.
asks for MY driver's license and my wife's passport.
then she asked me how we met which i explained but she wasn't looking at me, she was looking at my wife's reaction.... so i told her... then she asked when we got married..... which i responded..
then she ask about our daughter who is 6 years old she was with us, and asked us for a copy of her birth certificate which we had with us and gave to her.
after that she looked at all the pictures in the album we brought and asked us for 2 pictures for her to keep.
after that she asked for any other documents we had which we had plenty and i started putting them all on her desk until she said ok that's ENOUGH no more :).....
then tipycal questions to my wife about criminal record and all that..........
also scanned the folder with my wife's documents and i think she was approving us right there in there but she told us we would get a notice in the mail with the decision.....
as we went back to the car and as we are heading out i checked the status online that OUR NEW CARD HAD GONE INTO PRODUCTION :) which means we are approved :)....
