AOS Intervew Completed - Positive but not Approve yet
I want to share my timeline here one more time and talk about my interview

14th Sep 2015: Priority Date, Receipts received
13th Oct 2015: Biometrics Done
06th Nov 2015: Interview Notice - Interview date 11th December 2015
11th Dec 2015: Interviewed at local office in Santa Ana, CA.

IO said that everything looks good and she will approve my case when the security check completed on Monday. She said that there's a problem with the network so she cannot complete my approval right there.

P/S: it should be noticed that we are the last couple to be interview on that day. We arrived at the office around 1:30. Met our attorney around 1:45 and then proceed to the waiting room. Our appointment was 2:15 but we were not called until a little bit more than 3:00 and was the last couple sitting in the waiting room.

Questions include: verify personal information, addresses, how we met, what we do, where is your wedding, ... normal questions like everyone else in this forum.

The IO seems cold at first but then she started to get a little bit warmer as the conversation developed. She was impressed with all the documents I brought to her which are my bank statements, my wife's letter of employment, my landlord's letter, all of my pictures (yes, ALL of it because we print them on normal paper and 2-hole punched them on the top so the IO can take them all), my car insurance (copy), my car's title (copy), even my gym membership agreement.

There is one problem, after the IO asked me questions, which made the atmosphere super warm and her works could almost be done within a few minutes, she turned to my wife (U.S Citizen). My wife was nervous and answered the questions very slow, and in a low voice. At some points, I can realized that the IO felt unsatisfied, disbelieved. Between her questions and my wife answered, I tried to break the cold for a few times but was unsuccessful. She told me "Sir, I wanted to ask your wife, please let her answer". I think (yes, just think) that she wanted to separate us but maybe time didn't allow (the office probably closed around 4:00, that's what my attorney told me). To be honest, my wife English or even her mother language (vietnamese, she cam here when she was 14) is not good if she was asked questions when she felt nervous.

After all, the IO told me that if there is any documents I wanted her to take a look at. I told her no, that's all we had today. She proceed ahead and told us that for some an unknown reason she was not able to login into the system so she cannot do security check. She will do it on Monday and when she get the security check done, my green card will arrive within 2 weeks.

On the way out, before we left the room, she told us that she promise to take care of my case on Monday and will update my status. She didn't give me any paper.

I asked my attorney why the IO didn't me any paper, my attorney tell me that the IO was going to approve my case but due to the security check, which she cannot do it right now, she cannot give me an approval notice. But overall, the interview went well and the IO said everything looks good, you guys are okay. Don't worry about that.

That's it. I'm kind of worry now although I think we are in pretty good shape as my attorney told me so.

Anybody experiences the same situation like me which is you completed your interview and the IO told you that he/she would approve you but they will need to wait for the security check to complete?

Thank you very much

Hope to receive your response soon
