OCI Card

I am completely frustrated and disappointed with this process. I am married to an Indian and we have a 2 year old son. On June 19, 2015, my husband and I submitted packages for my son and I to receive OCI cards. My son's package was processed by CKGS and the Consulate in Washington, DC right away and sent to Delhi. My package however, sat on someone's desk at the Consulate until I called in both late July and August to find out the status. I was told that it made it to the consulte on August 5, 2015 for further scrutinization. My son's package was finished processing at that time and was on its way back to the USA from Delhi. My son received his OCI card by September. Suddenly, after my repeated calls in both September and October 2015, I was told that my package was finally sent to Delhi in October 2015. Everytime I asked why my package was held up, CKGS could not offer me any information or answers, they simply kept referring me back to the website which has no updates on my package. The site still to this day has no information on my package being sent to Delhi. The last update was at the consulate in August 2015. It is now December 16, 2015. Our now cancelled trip was planned for August 2015. This has been a horrible experience for us and I now suspect that my son's document was processed immediately because despite being an American citizen like me, he is half Indian. I have no further information on the status of my OCI card and the money that we paid to have it processed. CKGS is of no help and the Embassies make it difficult to reach anyone there who would have answers. Here is my tracking trail below:

08/05/2015 - Application is under process at the Embassy / Consulate for further scrutinization and may take upto 6 to 8 weeks for next update. Please continue tracking your application status online.

- There is nothing else tracked on my application since August 2015. This is terrible. Has anyone else had a similar experience to mine? At this point I don't know when I will ever get my OCI card.
