Dec 30, 2015 : Went for interview half hour before the scheduled time in Santa Ana,CA. Waited about 1 hr 15 minutes. Called in for the interview by a very good looking young man. Asked me and my wife DL and PP. and verified all of the info on the I-485 application. He opened the I693 Envelope. Then asked about my work during OPT. What did I do now ? was I working now? I said I was in school. He asked what school, what degree, when will I graduate? Then Started asking my wife, when did we meet? where did we meet? how long we dated? who proposed who? did we live in together before marriage? and some questions about our wedding ? How was the wedding? how many people came? We both answered all his questions about our relationship. Then he asked if we have brought any evidences. We had brought lots of pictures of us together before marriage, during marriage and after marriage but he looked at our marriage pictures only. We had taken lots of pictures so he went through about 50 pictures and kept about 10 pictures (Mostly group pictures with family and friends). He asked us who were the people in the group. he was nice guy but firm on what he wanted from us.Then he asked for any financial docs. We had joint credit cards, joint car loan, joint leasing agreement. He looked at all of them and kept all of them. Then he asked if we had filed taxes in 2014. we had jointly filed taxes together and We had brought tax return. He said very good. then he kept them too. Basically he kept mostly all of the proofs that we took with us about our marriage. He said that we had all the paperwork in order which made his job easier. Then after about 20 minute or total interview time he started typing in his computer and handed out a letter which said my application was approved. He shook my hand and told me congratulations and the GC card will arrive in about 2 weeks. I got approved for a 10 year green card. Basically, I had followed the checklist on the Interview appointment letter and gathered all the proofs for our marriage so I had everything with me what he asked during the interview. I did not hire any lawyer, I very carefully followed instructions so I think my interview was not a difficult one.

I hope this helps.Good luck on your green card journey ! I know its stressful but totally worth it ;)
