Order of Online Status Changes
Hello,

I have applied for a GC through my husband (US citizen) in Boston, MA. Dates as follows:

October 30th, 2015: Priority date
November 3rd, 2015: Fingerprint Fee accepted
November 7th, 2015: USCIS receipt notices received
November 13th, 2015: USCIS Biometrics Letter sent
November 20th, 2015: USCIS Biometrics Letter received
December 1st:, 2015: USCIS: Biometrics appointment, Boston, MA

We had hoped we would get our EAD at the 2 month mark, but with all the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years), it probably will take a bit longer.

My larger concern is that our online status still says "Case Was Received" and "Fingerprint Fee Accepted". It still has not changed to "Ready to schedule interview". Is that normal? Most people seem to see a change 1-2 weeks after their Biometrics appointment. What does a delay typically mean? Also, is the "Ready to schedule interview" change required for the EAD? Or is it completely independent from the production of the EAD/AP Card?

Thanks!
