Below are the timelines for my son's OCI card process. 71 Days in total. Please let me know if you have doubts/questions and I will do my best to reply on time.
I shipped all documents on 10/26/2015 and received the OCI card on 01/04/2015. Total of 71 Days, counting only workdays - it is 44 Days.
I did send an email to CKGS, MOIA New Delhi and Houston embassy requesting them to speed up the process if possible; Not sure if they did - as I had booked tickets to travel to India. It was very close to the travel date and thankful to CKGS, MOIA and Houston Embassy.
Stage 1a: Your application has been RECEIVED and is UNDER PROCESS in CKGS. Please continue tracking your application status online - 10/27/2015
Stage 1b: We have received your PAYMENT and we are verifying the same. If the payment made is complete, you will receive a payment receipt shortly. If there is any further discrepancy, you will be notified - 10/27/2015

Stage 6: Your OCI Card is DISPATCHED from MOIA, New Delhi - 12/22/2015
Stage 7a: Your printed OCI Card is READY FOR MATCH-UP with your US Passport / Foreign Passport. Please complete the OCI match-up process and refer to the email sent to you from CKGS with fu - 12/29/2015
Stage 7b: Your Passport has been RECEIVED at CKGS for Match-Up and is currently being packaged for onward submission to the Embassy / Consulate. Please continue tracking your application status online. - 12/29/2015

Stage 8b: Your application has been COLLECTED from the Indian Embassy / Consulate and is being SORTED to CKGS center. Your application will be ready for collection from our Application Centre within one business day. - 12/31/2015
Stage 8c: Your AWB Number is --------. Your US Passport & OCI Card are DISPATCHED from our application center. To track the Progress of Your Shipment, log onto the FedEx site using your AWB Number on www.fedex.com. - 12/31/2015

? It took 2 Business Days for CKGS to send it to Houston Indian Embassy/Consulate.
? It took 3 Business Days for Houston Indian Embassy/Consulate to send it to New Delhi, India.
? It took 31 Business Days for New Delhi office to process, verify, issue & print.
? It took 1 Business Day for New Delhi office to courier it to Houston Embassy after printing.
? It took 5 Business Days for the OCI card to be ready for Match-Up
? It took 2 Business Days for Houston Embassy & CKGS center to complete the match up process & ship it.
? It took 2 Business Days for me to receive it through FedEx courier purchased from CKGS.
