I have been following this forum for a while. It is very informative.
I am filling my AOS, My husband a green card holder. My PD is May 13, 2015. According to Visa Bulletin Chart B in December, 2015(applicant who is in US follow Chart B, so applicant will receive Combo card before Green Card), my PD would arrive on Jan 2016. Today I called USCIS, the officer told me my I485 package was returned on December 31 2015, because I sent my application TOO EARLY! ( it was delivered on Dec 15, 2015.) Stupid and careless us! :(
Anyone would know how long I will wait to receive returned package from USCIS?
another question is : My OPT will expire on Feb 1st 2016. Can I wait in US once I file 485?
