I-765 taking forever - 5 months
Hello everyone !

First of all I wanted to thank you all for the precious information given on this website. I firmly believe sharing our experiences dealing with USCIS is a big help to all of us.

I am a dual citizen (French Canadian) and moved to Washington, DC back in August 2015 on a K1 visa (as a Canadian). I married my partner on August 21st and filled for I-485 + I-765 + I-130. My local office is Washington, DC. After going over your experience my case is waaaayyyy slower than most of you guys; I was wondering if some of you are experiencing long delays as well (Nb = I got an RFE for the I-485).

My timeline:

- Documents received by USCIS (i-485 + i-765 + i-130) = August 26th, 2015
- RFE issued for I-485 = September 15th, 2015
- Response for RFE received on = October 28th, 2015

Since then my work authorization and travel doc are stuck on "Case received" since August 26th.
I-485 says they had received my response on October 28th, 2015.

Supposedly the RFE pertaining to I-485 resumed the waiting time (I should get an answer before January 28th) but some of you already got an answer.

Am I the unlucky one here? Any thoughts/experience?

Thank you !
