Adjustment of Status - I-485

Now, I'm getting frustrated. Today makes it 80 days after filing and 77 days after PD and I'm yet to get any updates. My cases are still stuck at case received even after finger print on Nov 30th, 2015. So I was forced to call them today and was told by a lady that I should expect a response within 15 - 30 days. Few mins later I check my case and under case history, I saw the text below:

"On January 19, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number T **** **** **** MSC, was assigned to an officer for response."

Now, my question is, can expect a response to my case before the recommended 15-30 days or I have no chance of any response till those days?. I'm just growing impatient because I'm stuck at home not able to work. My wife has been the one working her butts off just to provide for the house and its having a tow on her right now. I want to relieve her of some of the burdens.
