Here's my experience.
I'm on a L2 visa and applied for EAD through the Vermont office. USCIS received my application in October 22nd and after that nothing else happened. I submitted a claim on day 75 and got a response that my application was "within processing time". Already received a message (after another claim) stating that I didn't need to do the biometrics, since I already had done that for my visa.
Today is day 96 and I just called USCIS for an update on my case. The representative submitted a claim and said I should receive a final response on that "up to the next 30 days".
I must confess I was really concerned with my case, but after reading about other people's stories here in this forum I kind of calmed down. Hope they can answer me back in next 7 days actually...
