L2 EAD - 113 days and still counting
I saw people have posted similar experiences where the EAD approval is taking way beyond the normal processing times. So I decided to finally post my experience on this forum, as it has really helped me.

But after 113 days of my initial application I am starting to get nervous about the delay.

I'm L2 EAD (first time application)

Here's the timeline in my case:

Oct 5th 2015: Application mailed via USPS to Texas Service Center(as per my jurisdiction)
Oct 6th 2015: Case received
Oct 8th 2015: Email saying that my case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing.
Jan 10th 2016: Raised SR
Jan 11th 2016: Case history update "Your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application was assigned to an officer for response."
Jan 11th 2016: Received email saying "The status of your service request is: Based on fluctuations and variables that impact the processing times and for the purpose of interim or final adjudicative processing, the VSC allows 30 days beyond the posted date before the case is considered "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT).
An additional 30 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and processing before we can request expeditious processing based on an ONPT request. If the application or petition is still pending after 30 days, and once we receive your formal request for expeditious processing, your case will be forwarded to the applicable adjudicative unit for expeditious handling.
Jan 11th 2016: Inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application was completed.

Since Oct 2015 the case status page showed as Case Received. On Jan 27th it is changed to RFE.

Jan 27th 2016: Request for Additional Evidence Was Mailed.

Now I am waiting for the mail to arrive to see what "additional" evidence is required.

Anyone with similar status and timeline updates?

Also it would be of help if you could tell what additional evidence they normally ask for? Or does it differ case by case?

113 days and still counting.

Will update further.
