My spouse petition for me. Interview was at federal Plaza scheduled for 9.25am.
Was there like from 8.45am. IO called me and my husband in, we both never sworn in like other experience I read. He asked me our id''s and my spouse's proof of citizenship. We gave it to him then he said expect your card in the mail. I looked at my husband and he looked at me like waaaaatt... he didn't take my ead, or i-94. After which he said can I see through your album this is because I took it out while organizing my pocket book. He said what else do u want me to see and I took out a joint loan, joint credit card savings account and checking account statements, then life insurance with me as husband's beneficiary, receipt for furniture purchased in the house, a letter from our pastor and Christmas cards given to us. I was well prepared. Interview was less than 6mins. The IO wasn't the talkative type like myself and my husband so God work in our favors.
I said other expenses like utility are in separate names same address. He said that's ok then shook my husband and I hands and escort us out. I anxiously checked my status and Bam Bam !!!! Card in production. On my way to the subway it status said i-485 approved and Sent to the appellate office, etc.
January 27 card was picked up by us is with tracking number.
January 28th card in on way to destination expect to receive it January 29th, 2016.

My advice to you all sent as much supporting documents with your application. U can have joint assets even if u aren't married. I submitted all those things I took to my interview along with my application. I took out loans before we got married and have joint assets before we got married.

Best wishes to all of you here!!

This site helps me a lot I keep a track daily to see what's happening and prepare myself using others experience.

Note.. better to be over prepared and be asked nothing than not prepared at all.
