Help needed for H1B/H4 renewal stamping in Canada
Below is my background
Indian National
Arrived in US in 2003 for MS (CIS)
Working with the current employer for past 6 years
Approved I-140

Planning for H1B/H4 renewal stamping in canada. (will travel to Canada on visitor visa that we already have)

My concern is - i have read on (different) US consulate sites in Canada that they strongly encourage short-term visitors to canada to apply in their home country. Infact, Toronto consulate is not currently giving appointments to short-term visitors.

"A substantial percentage of visitors to Canada are denied visas under these circumstances. Consequently, we strongly urge visitors to Canada to apply for U.S. visas in their country of residence."

My question is -
1. Is there any reason to worry - the above note can be general and more concerning for people who work as consultants ?
2. Anyone with success stories with renewal in Ottawa or Montreal ?

Thanks,
J
