So I just came back from my marriage based interview. My husband is the petitioner. The interview was at Holtsville Long Island.
We got there about 20 mins early didn't get called until about 40 mins after.
The io was an Asian woman. Very nice lady. We swore in then she asked for our I'd's and my passport. She asked for my husbands proof of citizenship. Then she asked the yes or no questions on the I 486 form. She asked us how we met and how long we've been married. When I told her she asked y we took so long to file. Then she asked for anything we have together and for pics. She took one pic for her file and that was it. Everything went well. She gave me a paper saying case is being reviewed. However she told me the green card will come on the mail in a few weeks. And that I can file for citizenship in two years and 9 months time.
Even though she didn't say she approved us on the spot just what she told us in the end I know it's approved.
Will let u all know when I receive the gc in the mail.
My advice to all. Once ur marriage is real. Just be urself carry as much evidence as u can and keep it real.
