Time frame for Temporary Work Permit
Can anyone help me in the Jacksonville Florida area on how long it takes to get the temp work permit after completing the biometrics. The examining officer said 2 wks but it's been over a month now.

Filed 11/22/15
App rec'd on 12/7/15
Rec'd bio appt letter 01/16/16 due to zip code error
Bio appt 01/20/16
Called today CIS rep said it could take up to 90 days and that we are on the waiting list for interview. So I check the website and sure enough as of 2/1/16 an update was posted that our case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Is this the normal process or should we be concerned. I had a friend tell me after their bio that got their work permit 5 wks later. But he came over on a K1 visas though
