Hey guys... I now have my Green Card! woo hoo.
Thank you to all who supported me through my immigration journey, and for sharing your experience.
In my interview with the hubby, there was no video camera, no FBI agent or homeland security officer (like the videos we watched!)
Instead, there was the loveliest lady who worked for USCIS. She took us to her office and asked us to swear an oath followed by asking us to take a seat.
Questions to hubby (US Citizen):
* what is your full name
* what is your date of birth
* what is your address
* how long have you known each other
* when did you get married
* have you been to England
* have you met your wife's family
* what did you like/dislike about England
Questions to me (Applicant):
* what is your name
* what is your date of birth
* what is your current address
* when did you first meet your husband in person (met online)
* where did you first meet him in person
* when did you meet your husband's family

***Flicked through pictures of us***
* whose grandfather is this that you're both with
* whose wedding is this, of which you were guests
* have you (applicant) ever told somebody that you were born in the United States
* have you got a job in the US
* have you ever been arrested
* have you ever hurt somebody
* have you ever used a weapon to threaten anybody
* have you ever killed a person
These are all the questions asked.
We were approved on the same day and my green card letter came through 5 days later.
My Green Card arrived exactly 1 week after the interview.
