day 117 Card Mailed / Vermont SC
Hi All,
Applied for EAD as spouse of E2 ( form I 765 + form G 1145 + 2 passport photos + all required docs )
Day 1 - December 11 2015 - request received at Vermont SC
Between Day 1 and Day 75 - I called USCIS to find out how to expedite my case but I had no option and couldn't get any updates from them
Day 5 - received Acceptance Confirmation and a Receipt Number . Case status "Received"
Day 76 - I called USCIS and asked for a SR ( again they can't provide any info about the case ) . They told me that I will receive an update in 30 days..
Day 80 - Contacted local congressman to check if they can find out more. After couple of days the congressman had an answer from USCIS that they will send an answer by Day 90.
Day 90 - no updates. Case still in status "received"
Day 91 - I called USCIS to open a new SR for "outside of normal processing time" + I contacted again local congressman and got an answer that they will solve my case
Day 100 - contacted CIS Ombudsman and explained the situation
Day 110 - received an email from CIS Ombudsman saying that they contacted Vermont SC
Day 115 - status changed from "Case received" to "Case approved"
Day 117 - status changed from "Case approved " to "Card mailed"

Now I'm waiting for the actual EAD card. My advice : contact local congressman from day 76 after you open a SR with USCIS call center + contact CIS Ombudsman starting day 91!

Thank you all that offered their support and shared useful info about this whole process.. This forum kept me sane :)

Good Luck !
