Guys it's been a long journey but thank God, the wait is finally over. I believe, the key word for this whole process is PATIENCE. No matter how frustrating things get, keep calm and keep your head up, hoping and believing in God.
 here is a summary of the process.
GC through USC.

12/18--mail i-485 and other forms
12/21--received by uscis
12/30--NOA
01/06--Online status changed to application received
01/08 Bio-metric letter received
01/21--Boimetric Appointment done
03/03 RFE received
03/07-- Interview scheduled
03/17--Interview notice
03/18--employment application approved
03/21--Notice received
03/22--EAD recieved
04/21--Interview Appointment
04/21-- I-485 approved.

whole process started in 2014, i-130 had to be approved because my wife was still Permanent resident.
