Question regarding I-864
Hello All
Regarding I-864; I am the petitioner (US Citizen) and a fulltime student for last 3years. I have no income right now but my husband (who is on TN visa) earns well above 125% (based on the guidelines). When filling out I-864, Part 6 (1) I would put my income as 0 (unemployed) and my husband’s income under Part 6 (3) ‘household income’.
We have been married almost 3yrs now, filed taxes together for all three years. We are going to submit copies of the all three years of tax return with I-864.
My questions is would this be enough to submit (I-864) without any joint sponsor? Or do I still need one since my individual income is 0. I have not found such scenario/experience.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
