Atlanta - AOS - Marriage Based - 125 days & Counting
Today makes day 125, so I wanted to share my timeline for those of you in the same boat. AOS, same-sex, marriage based
Atlanta Filing, all receipts from MSC
1/15/2016 - Priority Date for forms 765/131/130
1/25/2016 - Date for 485 (all forms were sent together)
3/2/2016 - SR for missing biometrics notice, with an expected response date of 3/24
4/5/2016 - Finally was told an appointment was scheduled
4/8/2016 - Received biometrics appointment for 4/19/2016
4/13/2016 - Did a walk-in for biometrics. No issues at all. Maybe a total of 45 minutes.
4/29/2016 - Service request regarding status of EAD/765 since it's been 104 days at this point (it is still showing "Case Received"
5/11/2016 - USCIS updated 131 & 485 to show "Name Was Updated" on 4/30/16
We have an attorney who is hopeful that we should be receiving more traction soon, so we aren't really concerned, more like frustrated. We are in limbo and can't file our taxes yet. We never filed for the ITIN since we thought for sure we would have the EAD by now. It seems pointless now to file for the ITIN since that will take 7 weeks +/-
Anyone else out there with a "Name Updated" status and a timeline afterwards?
