Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi Houston and Immihelp filers,

Thank you all for the good wishes and support prior to our interview! I'm glad to hear the other July filers have finally started receiving interview notices - best of luck to all of you as you have your turn!

We had our interview last week, and it went very well. There were lots of couples and people in the waiting room, but things were moving fairly well. We arrived 45 min early and waited about 45 min after our interview time to be called in. The officer was friendly; his questions included: name, DOB, address, how we met, when we met each others' parents, what we do for work, etc. He looked at our photos, asked some questions about them, then took some evidence of our co-mingled assets (cohabitation evidence and IRS transcripts) and then said everything looked good, and we should expect the green card in a few weeks! We were initially really disappointed not to have been approved on the spot, but the officer mentioned some final check/administration stuff (supervisor signature?) that he had to do before he could approve, so nothing we could have done differently I suppose :( Just more waiting for the final approval ...

Which leads to my question - yesterday, we received a notice in the mail that our I-130 was approved, but nothing yet on the I-485. We filed our I-130 and I-485 concurrently; does anyone know if getting the I-130 approval notice just after the interview might mean the I-485 is soon to follow? We never received an update online when our interview was scheduled, and it still hasn't changed, so not really trusting online updates .... Appreciate anyone's experience/insight on this. We're continuing to wait otherwise with fingers crossed! Will update with any good news!
