16Feb2016: Sent all documents (paper filing) for L2-EAD to USCIS Dallas lockbox.
23Feb2016: Case allocated to Vermont service center, received receipt (I-797)
LONG WAIT START
18April2016: 60 days, first expedite request denied
05May2016: “Approaching regulatory timeframe” request, asked me to wait for next 60 days
10May2016: Second expedite request denied
17May2016: Case approved (exact 90 day of filing)
19May2016: Approval notice received (I-797)
23May2016: Card Received
Note: In my paper filing, I sent my SSN copy along with other regular documents. I don’t know, if it helped or not. I am mentioning this here as this was the only document which was not mandatory to send but I sent it.
Thanks to this forum, I visited it multiple times during my wait period. I also tracked USCIS alerts and time lines shared by service centers.
