Still waiting on card
Hello guys,
I just wanted to share my husband's experience here too.
On mid Feb 2016 he sent his renewal form and payments for I765. Like a week letter he received a receipt letter dated with receipt date Feb 18, 2016. Since then, on the "check my status" website it had the "case received" status until May 10, 2016 when his application for renewal was approved. They did not required him to have his biometrics done this time since he had them done last year and on his receipt letter it said that they were going to be able to use those biometrics. On the May 10, 2016 Approval Notice letter it says that his card is valid from 05/19/2016 to 05/18/2017. We are still waiting on his card; his previous one is already expired (it expired on 5/18/2016) so his driver's license is too. On that notice letter it says "The Form I-766, Employment Authorization Document, was sent under separate cover to the beneficiary. I'm starting to worry why is taking too long for them to send the card. I checked our previous application records and dates and it only took about a week after the valid date to be delivered to him (his previous card was valid from 5/19/2015 to 5/18/2016 and he received it on around May 26, 2015.
