I just want to share my experience. Here is my timeline
12/22/2015 Priority date
1/26/2016 Biometrics done
3/9/2016 EAD received
4/29/2016 Notice of interview received
5/31/2016 Interview
We had a smooth interview. Got there 30mn before the appointment time and got called in 50mn after appointment time. The IO made us swear then he automatically asked for bills with both of our names, lease, bank account statements and insurance. Then he asked my husband who is the petitioner
when and how we met?
how did we got together again?
what did we do for dates?
how long did i stayed in the US?
How long after i left the US we saw each other again?
where did we go? What we did who do?
how long i stayed in the US when i came back?
when did he proposed?
what is our address?
Then he asked me (beneficiary)
How did we met?
How did my husband proposed?
What do i do for living?
What is nearby where we live?
Then he asked for my passport (i had both the one that expired and the current one), my birth certificate. He asked me the yes/no questions.
He then said he is going to let us know his decision by mail and walked us out.
It took maybe 15mn. The IO was very serious and kept on looking at me even when my husband was talking. This made me feel very nervous but after all it went well.
it's been 10days now and we are still waiting for the decision. My online status never got updated. It is stuck on 12/22/2016 we received your fingerprints fee.
Any idea of how long it is going to take? It is very frustating to wait for something you don't know when it is going to arrive.
