K1 Visa to 485 Adjustment of Status - No interview!
Hey folks - this forum has been a real lifeline for me and my husband as we've gone through this process. Here's my timeline:

2/12/16 - Arrived in the USA
3/4/16 - Married at city hall
4/13/16 - I-485, I765, and I-131 Application Received by USCIS
4/25/16 - Receipt notices for the above forms received. Date of birth is incorrect on them, though correct in the forms sent. Called USCIS to get this adjusted. Very simple process, and not cause for concern.
5/13/16 - Biometrics appointment at USCIS Brooklyn

6/3/16 - Application for I-485 approved without interview.
6/10/16 - Green card has been mailed.

That's 51 days between submission and approval.

Needless to say, I was pretty stunned by this whole thing. No interview, and a rapid turnaround for the GC. I haven't heard anything about the EAD or AP forms since they were received, I guess because USCIS knew they were going to approve the GC, and didn't waste time processing them.

So now I'm just waiting to have the green card in hand. Then I can grab an unrestricted Social Security card, a new NY State ID, and finally start working!

(Notes: the actual text of the approval on the USCIS site was "We approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status." and "We ordered your new card")
