Adjustment of Status - I-485

I've a question addressed to people who had a long wait between their PD and interview. My PD is July 23rd 2015 and interview is set for July 13th, 2016. Does USCIS require a new medical test form if the testing was done a little over a year ago (July 1st week, 2015)? I spoke to the civil surgeon who did my initial test but he said that I'd be receiving a letter from USCIS if they deem the test report expired. And without said letter, they cannot re-do the tests. I wanted to get some clarity from people here. I know I've read a posting from someone who said their interview went well, but the IO asked for updated i693 and that delayed the process another 2 months.
