H1B, H4 Visa

Hi all,I had my interview scheduled at Chennai Consulate on 05 March 2012 at 11.15am, but went there early actually reached very early @8.30am , asked the security where to stand he asked me to wait and come at 10am.Went again @9.45 and he asked me to stand in line. Once my turn came I submitted the interview letter & CEAC letter at outside counter and took the token. Went inside had security check done(Dont carry closed
envelope if you want to carry them open it before the security check, in front of me a guy was having 25-30 paystubs in closed envelopes the security guard asked him to go out and open the envelopes and come back again then the security will stamp on all the open envelopes, also i did not carry wallet to avoid unnecessary headache of security check)

Went inside waited for my token number, saw the token number on TV and went to the counter, she asked for 2Photos, Passport, interview letter &
I797B which she wrapped in rubber band and asked me to go for footprint, Once footprint was done went to the next building for interview.

Waited till my number was seen on TV.3 token numbers came on the same window(No 16) including mine ,i was the second one. The first person did not come till that time i was waiting in front of VO and the VO was also calling for the first token number.VO was a chubby white guy.. i thought he will ask me all sought of document and questions.The first guy did not turn up so the VO asked me to come over.What is thought of VO turned out to be exactly opposite he was a true gentleman.

Me:Good Afternoon.
VO:Hey Good Afternoon.
 
VO:So you had visa?
Me:Yes, I had L1 previously

VO:So this time also you are applying L1?
Me:No its H1B

VO:You Qualification
Me: BE in computers

VO:Specialization
Me:Computers

VO:You will be working at client location?
Me:Yes

VO:Who is you Client
MeZZZ

VO:Which location
Me:New Jersey

VO:Show me your Visa documents
Me:Gave the whole bunch, he read them like rajnikant(like a fan) and

picked LCA document, verified the Client name and Location.

VO:Do you know about the white phamlet
Me:No

VO:This will help you in case of emergency, you can call the nos listed

on that.
Me:Sure

VO:Your VISA is approved and you will receive in a weeks time.
Me:Thanks Have a Good Day!!!

VO:You Too!!!

I came out of the consulate @ 11.10 am i.e.5 mins prior to my scheduled time :)

You can go early inside and come early outside:)
