Visitor visa
My mother had a pleasant experience at the consulate on May 10, 2005. I had booked the appointment (we requested for Tamil translator) from US a long time back (may be three months ago). I sent the papers to her last month!

I sent following documents!
Folder one (Yellow)
1. Appointment letter
2. filled Visa application form
3. my invitation letter to her
4. asked her to collect property document, pension paper, and bank book
Folder two (Red)
5. My sponsorship document (134, letter to consular, employment letter, pay stubs, bank statements, and last three year of income tax filling form)
Folder three Blue
6. Copies of my visa documents, green card, my wife’s and my son.
Folder four (different yellow folder)
7. All old passport copies

I also sent a list of possible questions to her!

I had exact set of document in US, so that I can tell her what is what and in which folder. I went ahead with the color folder, so that my mom can understand clearly, instead folder 1, 2 ….

Her appointment time was at 9.00, she reached there by 8.30, at the gate they checked her appointment letter and passport
Second counter they took the DDs for application and courier.
Gave her the token and asked her to wait at the main building.

Called her token number, she gave her passport and application document.

The officer asked who is X Y, she told him that X Y is my son! (Only one Question)

Looked at my sponsorship document (the whole red folder), took the I134 then asked her to pay the fees!

We still do not know for how long she got the visa!

Good luck to you all!
