visitor visa
my father n mother attended visa interview on 1.2.2008 at chennai. We prepared all papers as prescribed in immihelp. After initial processing they are send to the building next to front desk. When nthe turn came they submitted to VO a folder containing DS 156 and DS 157.I-134 is also given by parents to VO .Through telugu translator he asked " who is this sponsor". That answered he asked for the PP copy of daughter's (my sister" PP copy. That given n checled by VO, he asked father what are you doing. That answered they are asked to give finger prints. The telugu intrepreter then told you are granted Visa and it wil be sent by post.
They thanked VO and translator. VO reciprocated with Namasthe.
Base on this experience father says that:
    The entire process depends on
     1. Back ground profiling of applicants.
The consulate must be having their own
powerful and fast resouces to verify
        aplicants
     2. The way you conduct your self while in
        the consulate. Your facial expressions
        and body language
     3. Last but not least your stars n luck
        on the D- day

Never Never understimate the consulate officials.
They have their own inputs and they do not sppend more time than what is just required to dispose a visa application/applicants
