Visitor Visa - B2

We had attended visa interview for tourist visa from Dubai last week. Our visa was approved, but our case was difficult, as my sister has filled immigration petition for me and our visa was already rejected once before 3 years. So we were well prepared this time. We have a small daughter, so we opted not to take her for the interview as my wife’s parents were around.

Questions asked:
•Tell me your name?
•(To Wife) tell me your name?
•How old your daughter is?
•Have you brought photo of yours?
•So your sister is staying in the USA?
•From how long she is staying?
•Where is she staying?
•Please give me your company letter
•Also give me your bank statement
•So your sister has filled immigration petition for you?
•How your sister became US Citizen?
•Do you know the status of your immigration petition?
• What do you think when your turn will come?
•How long are you planning to go?
•From how long are you staying here?
• (To Wife) when did you get married?
•(To Wife) when did you come here?
• Which countries you have visited earlier?
•Have you travelled together?
•(To wife) do you have any relatives in USA?
•(To wife) has she filled immigration petition for you?
• (To wife) Are you pregnant?

We just gave straight forward answers. Our intention was clear that we just want to go to visit USA at this time.

If you convince VO that the duration to migrate to the USA is long and there is no need to leave a steady job at this moment then it’s slightly easy for VO to grant the visa.
