Visitor visa issued for 10 years from Calcutta U.S consulate
Hi,

First of all I would like to thank immihelp for their excellent guidelines for preparing the interview. Today my parents-in-law got 10 years visa from calcutta U.S consulate. The following questions were asked to my mother-in-law by the officer and the consular officer asked the questions in Hindi (consular officer knows Hindi :)). Not even a single question was asked eventhough both my in-laws were there in the interview room.

1. With whom you (to my mother-in-law) are living?
2. Why do you want to go to U.S?
3. Do you want U.S Citizenship? (the same question was asked for three times during the interview time)
4. Don't you have brothers and sisters?
5. How long do you want to stay in U.S?
6. Does your son-in-law send money every month?
7. How many children do you have? and where are they?
8. Does your daughter have any children?

The interview was over with the same question "do you want U.S Citizenship?". After going through all the following documents sent by me she (the officer) was very pleased and said "I am granting Visa for 10 years". Organization of documents "MATTERS".

Documents sent:
Invitation letter to my parents-in-law
Letter to the consular officer
Employment letter from the employer
Affidavit I-134
H-1B documental proof
Letter from the Bank with bank statement for one year
Passport copies (mine and my wife)
w-2 copies
Tax return copies
Pay stubs (recent 3)
Apartment lease (proof of address)
Verizon statement (phone)
PSE&G statements (2 recent)

These information might be useful to other viewers.

Great Relief :)

Thanks to immihelp
