Visitor Visa - B2

Hello everyone,
First of all I would like to thank 'immmihelp' website.

Me and my colleague/friend applied together for the US visitor visa (B2) for tourism purpose. The date for OFC was on 24th November and the interview was on 25th November, at US consulate General Mumbai.

Me and my friend, both are single. My friend was sponsored by his cousin in US, while I was sponsoring myself. Though me and my colleague applied together, we both were sent to different window because we are not relatives and not in blood relations.

The visa officer was a lady and asked me many questions. The interview duration was about 2-3 minutes. The discussion done was as mentioned below:

Me : Good morning madam.
VO : Good morning, can you show me your passport please?
Me : (with smile) sure madam.
VO : What is the purpose of your visit sir?
Me : For tourism purpose.
VO: What do you do?
Me: I am an Assistant Professor in degree engineering college.
VO : What is your qualification?
Me : M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
VO : pardon me..
Me : (I repeated the answer)
VO : In which year you completed your studies?
Me : (I replied accordingly).
VO : Do you have any relatives or friends in US?
Me : I don't have any relatives but I have a friend over there.
VO : What is your friend is doing?
Me: He is working in XYZ company.
VO : He is working as?
Me : As a software engineer.
VO : Do you have brothers or sisters?
Me : I have a younger sister, she is married now.
VO : Is your sister completing her graduation now? ( Totally irrelevant or Tricky question)
Me : No, she is working as an architect.
VO : What are your parents doing?
Me : (I replied accordingly).
VO : (With smile) "Congratulations...! Your visa has been approved. You can collect your passport from the address given by you."
Me: (With smile) Thank you madam.

My colleague was at another window. He was asked regarding the purpose of visit, occupation, education and the sponsor details, etc.
His visa is approved, too.

The questions like Marital status, annual income, work experience, duration of stay, etc were not asked to any of us. We received our passports after 3 days. We both received 10 years visa.

They didn't ask to produce any document. But for safer side keep all relevant documents with you. In case they ask for any proof, you must have it to show them.

Please fill the correct and precise details in DS 160 form.

Be confident and positive. And please DO NOT LIE.
