Waiting for EAD
Howdy y'all - I'm a Houston filer. PD is 4/6/2020. Still waiting for my EAD and i765 to be approved by Texas center.
My category is EB-2 and concurrent filing of i140 and i485.

4/6/2020 Receipt data
6/29/2020 RFIE for i131 (Advanced parole) displayed on USICS case status.
7/9/2020 RFIE received. They needed two more photos of me - which doesn't make sense at all to me and lawyer since we already sent them my photos as many as they initially requested.
7/10/2020 RFIE sent from USPS by first class mail. They said it's going to be delivered by 7/13.
7/13/2020 My RFIE didn't get delivered (delayed) ----> No delivery happened until 7/14, 15, 16.
7/16/2020 Gave up USPS and FedExed instead with new photos.
7/17/2020 FedEx said USCIS received
7/20/2020 RFIE received displayed on case status
7/21/2020 Same message updated again but received data is now 7/21
8/14/2020 Called USCIS to check my status. Caller said no biometrics scheduled for me yet and my i765 would be reviewed sometime soon (a few weeks). She also told me I wouldn't receive EAD without biometrics...

Looking at other people's posts, I really wonder why some people are so quick from initial filing to GC approval (like 6-10 months), while other take 2-3 years. Why are there such extreme differences?
