Adjustment of Status - I-485

I was finally at the Minneapolis USCIS center yesterday for my most awaited adjustment interview. My USC petitioner husband and I were separated right from the first moment of interview. He went in first and spent 20 minutes with the IO. I thought it was a pretty grilling session for him until I was called in next for 45 minutes. The IO asked me questions based on i-485 form and marital relationship. She noted down my answers, against the answers my husband had provided earlier which were close to 50. (49 answers matched)

She also went over all the additional documentation I provided along with the photo album. I had ample evidence to support. Moreover, sufficient documentation was provided earlier at the time of filing. No RFE was ever received.

Now the moment of truth turned out to be the most painful when I was expecting an instant approval. She said that the decision could not be made at that time because she needed time to go through my documentation and see if anything more was required to be submitted. If not, she would approve my application.

In order to prevent any delay I offered her every supporting document I had with me but she refused to accept them at that time. I still cannot imagine anything that I did not submit.

Has anybody been in a similar situation? I don’t know how long the wait is going to be. Please advise what to do next.

Please note that my online case status has never changed since the application was first received a year ago, so there is no way I can depend on that.

Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help as this wait will kill me.
