Hi guys! I am confused. I am working on my application (485, adjustment of status) by myself. I submitted forms 485 and 130 (Petition for Alien Relative). A friend told me that I can also submit form 765 (work authorization) at the same time, and so I'm working on it now. However, I have another friend who has a lawyer doing these stuff for him. He told me he didn't do form 765 and said he paid $1,490, which means following the old fee list, that only covers forms 485 + 130 + Biometrics. So he really haven't applied for I-765 yet. And now, surprisingly, he just received his work permit card!
So, do I still have to accomplish form 765? Or it is automatic that if I apply 485 and 130, they're gonna issue me work permit? Thanks so much in advance!
