Working in a different city
Hello,

I wanted to ask a question about working in a different town. My husband and I have been long distance while applying for the green card. In our first interview we have been honest with the agent and told him that we were living desperately because of our job contracts and would eventually reunite, which we did after the green card was granted.

I have moved where my husband was and it has been almost a year now. I have yet to find a secure job. (I sub and work at a restaurant) Even when we were doing long distance I could not find a job related to my field in this town. I had a great position where I was at but my husband did not want to move.
I am starting to be tired of rejection and this city overall that is full of hipsters and seriously lacks diversity. I was recently offered a job in NYC but I don't know if my husband will want to go because he has a good position here...it has become an issue. I was thinking about accepting the position in NYC but we are waiting on an answer for our I751. We were already separated when we started the whole process and now I am worried it would look bad if I accepted that offer in NYC...Can someone give me any thoughts or advice please? Thank you!
