Employer paying fee for I-485 for someone who entered on k1 visa

My wife entered the country on a K1 visa, and we have since been married. Now we are trying to apply for her adjustment of status, but we have no way of paying the one thousand dollar filing fee. However, we have found someone who is willing to give her a job, he is just waiting until she can be legally employed. Is there any way his company can pay the fee? Would that be legal, and work out with his bookkeeping?

I can’t see why it wouldn’t be legal. The question is why a company would pay the fee for someone who might work for them later on, but that’s between you and the company.
