  • USCIS Adjustment of Status through Marriage Interview

I live in Chicago and would like to know if at the USCIS Interview, does the interviewer ask "have you ever claimed yourself to be a US Citizen?" and what did you folks answer?
Have you folks worked before adjusting status, I mean everyone has to work to support themselves. thank you

USCIS Adjustment of Status through Marriage Interview

If you have worked legally, then you don't have to declare yourself a citizen. If you have illegal work history, you should be honest to the interviewer. If the AOS is based on marriage to a US citizen then the work history is overlooked as per the attorney general. Claiming to be a US citizen is not.
