Birth Certificate Certification of Translation

Hello everyone,

I am wondering whether the Certification of Translation of my wife's birth certificate is sufficient for USCIS. I got the certified copy in the mail, and the certification at the end was as follows:

"I, the undersigned YYYY X, court interpreter for the English language, appointed by the decree No. YYYY of the Ministry of Justice for the Republic of Slovenia, dated 16th of December, 1997, hereby declare that this translation fully corresponds to the original Slovenian text."

The problem is that according to the I-485 instructions, "Any document submitted by USCIS with information in a foreign language must be accompanied by a full English translation. The translator must certify that the English translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English."

While the translator stated that they were the court interpreter for the English language yadda yadda, will that be enough to satisfy the translation requirements?

What you quoted usually satisfies USCIS review requirements. A notary witness of the translators's statement, however, is also recommended (but many of mine lack that extra step and are accepted).
